Early Bird triggers the early worms
As early as now, i have set up our team’s domain that will be used for the competition. Our domain is http://www.ituloyangsulong.co.nr. As expected, we did register this with a free domain because neither anyone of us had the financial power to get a domain that would really be easy to remember. Well, its the closest to what can be easily remembered so were fine with it. What were planning to do here is were going to set up first a blog, then the “designed from scratch” part will be pushed in the latter part of the competition. The blog will serve as a front, just to drive traffic (hoping to do so) and the readers/audience to, as much as possible, stay a little longer on our site. I have yet to study the real deal about doing SEO so i expect my colleague to do the early part of the optimization just to get things going. Well, ive been wanting a person to help up on the optimization. She’s an SEO expert at a big company. She’s beed doing SEO for 1 year now and i would love her to be on our team. Hope i can get her to do the nitty gritty for us while the contest is still on its starting stage. The next thing we’ll do probably is to set up a nice blog that would talk about SEO itself, and maybe a few tips that would drive visitors on the site. Some webdesign tips and insight from a webmaster and stories that would relate to all things of sense and otherwise out there. As for me, while my team does that, i’ll find time to study and see what i can stir up to get this site up and running. Again to all the participants, goodluck!
Kick off party on the SEO competition held yesterday, october 28 on JILLS resto
I really didn’t came on time when the kick off party started so i wasn’t able to catch the talk made by the google country manager ms. aileen apolo. Well, i caught the “finishing part” of the talk where she was talking about google in the country and stuff alike. Some of the events were…
- Free flow of food and beer… (ok ok… enough about that.. now the serious part)
- Talk about Google and the status of Ads particularly on the internet. (E.G adsense statistics and figures.)
- The Mechanics of the Upcoming SEO competition (EG. Keywords and Prize money
The main reason for the party is the kick off of the competition… As i’ve said, this is done to strengthen the network of SEO’s in the Philippines and to promote SEO’s and the likes to any business who haven’t shifted on to any of webs capabilities for advertising. The keyword for the said event is “ituloy angsulong”. I found this a bit tricky because of the second word, which is originally 2 words. (ang + sulong). Maybe its more of a deal than that of a trick so that the keyword will be more specific. thus making the competition more interesting. I too will be joining the said event. (which makes me a candidate for the “kick him around coz he doesn’t know too much about SEO” category.)
